Office Christmas Party DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

As we begin approaching December, the invites to the office Christmas parties have begun to roll in. And whilst many of them will be a dramatic affair, I doubt any will be like the one in Office Christmas Party.

Out today on DVD, digitally and Blu-ray editions, the film stars Jennifer Aniston, Kate McKinnon and Jason Bateman, plus more, who as an office team try to stop their boss, played by Aniston, from shutting down their department in Chicago. To do this they decide to host the ultimate Christmas party.

Directed by Will Speck, the film is rude, crude and downright silly at times, but with Christmas bringing joy and lightheartedness, it kind of works. Yes, it does fall flat a number of times and does edge to the ridiculous line many more, the film is a look at a place that makes your office party’s shameful karaoke look normal.

Bateman, McKinnon and Aniston, all play their parts as the boss, HR manager and manager brilliantly, as they bring their classic comedy natures to life. However, they are overshadowed by TJ Miller, who plays Aniston’s character’s brother so well and brings the most laughs.

If you are looking for something lighthearted with that Christmas jolly feel than this is the one for you. Because not every Christmas feel is about love. They can also be about rowdy workers who reck the joint.

There so, I am giving this party a roof-raising...
