The Red Turtle DVD Review

08:30:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

Studio Ghibli has given us some of the cutest films of all time! Fact! After a short wait, the company have finally released their latest feature, The Red Turtle on DVD, Blu-ray and digitally as of today and again it is not one to miss.

Directed by Micahel Dudok de Wit, the film is the first time the company have produced a feature internationally and it has done them wonders. Telling the story on a man who ends up shipwrecked, the film calls upon the beauty of its creators to highlight the underwater world of animals such as turtles, crabs and birds to highlight the natural world around us.

Every crystal blue sea matches the clear blue skies. Every smooth piece of sands matches the smooth floating of the yacht on the water. Every moment in the film matches the wants of the audience members viewing it. Studio Ghibli has managed to make a feature about a devastating accident turn into something of a piece of beauty. An animation with a life line.

Visually your eyes are forced and need to take in the wonderful animations. They are so true to life that they feel almost as if you could reach in and touch them. The story of one mans need for survival has been done in an adult nature, but one that children can also enjoy.

The Red Turtle is simply beautiful in all shapes and sizes! Whether you viewed it on the big screen or at home, you won’t be able to get the images of the sea and skies out of you mind. As well, as the story about the man and the animals he meets.

There so I am giving this a big blue…
