The Taisho Trilogy DVD Review

07:00:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

Arrow Academy have been working hard to bring many classics back to life and continuing on with their journey they have released The Taisho Trilogy on DVD and Blu-ray for the first time ever. A whole days’ worth of film to enjoy.

A pure mixture of bizarreness and thrills, the trilogy is a classic mixture of vengeance in Japan, as it captures a supernatural world during a liberal enlightenment. Having never been released outside of Japan before, the film is going to capture cinematic fans, as they learn about everything to do with the film's world.

Audience members will need to make sure that they are prepared to let their minds not overthink too much with this film, the two-time Academy Award winner in Japan, shares with them some very different gangster footage. Scenes that don’t really compare to anything else in fact.

It is definitely a series of films that stand out on their own and make for enjoyment. However, I don’t think they is really a need for three films. The series starts off strong but slowly dips. This causes you to kind of feel like you might give up with it at times. However, this is only towards the end of the series, when every situation has kind of been shown before.

There so I am giving the trilogy...

3 Stars
