Sadly Halloween is over for another year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t watch the classic films that use to scare many out of their seats. And for some still, do. With their classic collection continuing to grow, Arrow Films have released Howling II: Your Sister is a Werewolf on DVD.
With Christopher Lee in the title role, the film shows the aftermath of the murder of a young woman. After discovering from a stranger that she was a werewolf, the film sees her brother traveling to find answers about his sister, only to end up in terrible danger.
While it won’t scare audiences anymore the film has techniques galore that still live on in present horror films. There is nothing like the first appearances of the werewolves and while they are laughable there is a creative and horror nature to them.
It is a creation that modern audiences can appreciate and see what was done in the past to make them so powerful on screen. And with superb acting on top of that, it is really a cult horror film classic.
