iZombie Season One DVD Review

07:00:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

Before I begin this review lovelies I just want to let you all know that I have not watched the full series yet. But I will try to be honest and as open as I can be about the show from what I have seen of it already.

iZombie has arrived on DVD as of today and with stars including Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin and Robert Buckley, the show is a great new feature and a perfect addition to the horror world in a nicer form.

Telling the story of Liv, a medical student who is hoping to live a normal life, the show catches her as she is transformed into a zombie and the way she learns to adjust to her new brain eating ways. As she tries to navigate around her new world, she meets old faces, gathers the memories of the people’s brains she has eaten and becomes more intelligent than you would like to think a zombie could become.

The show takes on clever and interesting storylines and they are perfectly activated and shared. The writing is clever and witty at times, whilst also having something human about it. You feel for the characters and the problems they go through. You also start thinking you could be the scientist to fix it all.

However, you don’t really want to fix it all as you are enjoying the themes and the problems that the characters are facing. Seeing the character of Liv trying to get over the killings of innocent people as she tries to feed and then facing the humans that she use to spend time and love with is often hard to watch.

It has all been very cleverly presented and makes you want to see more and more after each episode. The creators and hosts, The CW, are often making shows like this and from the looks of their previous shows it will go on for a long time, which I am thankful for.

There so I am giving it...

5 Stars
