POLICE STORY: LOCKDOWN DVD REVIEW...

Back on top form Jackie Chan proves that he can still kick ass in his latest Martial Arts film, however the storyline of the film lets him down. Time to show them who is boss Chan I think!
Telling the story of a police captain, the film sees him as he comes face to face with his daughter he hasn’t seen in a long time and the fight he puts up to save her when her boyfriend turns out to be a nasty piece of work shall we say. In the nightclub where they come face to face again, her boyfriend decides to keep everyone hostage in the home and makes the group have to deal with some horrible consequences.
This is where Chan comes in and saves the day. Of course you know this is going to happen as a viewer but the amazing thing about it all is that Chan is still able to show everyone else in the film how it is done. Doing all his own stunts there are no signs of him slowing down at all; thankfully he isn’t in fact because otherwise this film would not have been as watchable.
The other cast members seem to be relying on him heavily throughout and make him have to work ten times harder to drive the plot to a level where it isn’t unbearable to view.
There so I am giving the film…
