Hey Lovelies, 

30 years after its original release ICO and StudioCanal have released the hit film, 'Ran', on DVD again and I got a chance to watch it on its new format. 


The film follows a warlord as he tries to train his three sons about the responsibilities it takes to run your own kingdom. However his actions are soon destroyed as his family turns to drastic actions to try and beat each other. 

While the film is not technically great, it has a beauty and skill that 30 years ago and today amazes audiences, as it presents a new set of imagery that will stand out to anyone who watches it. 
There is a gem within it that is great and makes for an intriguing viewing.
