BOOK POST! I JOINED THE #TMIPARTY FOR AN EXCITING LAUNCH PARTY...22:14:00
I mentioned earlier that I went to a book launch today and I just wanted to share with you a few images and information from the event.
Tomorrow marks the release of ‘City of Heavenly Fire’ the last book in the ‘Mortal Instruments’ series, and after spending a weekend with the fans during a film tweet-along of ‘City of Bones’, I was allowed to attend the launch party for the new book.
The event allowed fans to get up and close and personal with their favourite book series, by allowing them to become their favourite characters. From Rune body art and nails to getting their hands on the books early, the fans were spoiled from the moment they arrived. OH and I forgot to mention they also got to model with their own shadowhunters!
Throughout the event, the best bit had to be the tweets being read out by one of Walker Books UK very own, who had the crowd laughing, taking selfies and wishing happy birthdays all across the world for the #TMIParty.
And with the mention of #TMIParty, he also managed to get the event trending not just in the UK but also Worldwide…
They say time fly’s when having fun, as it wasn’t long before the nails and art were getting wrapped up for a very special message and film from the books author Cassandra Clare. In a little message to her UK fans Clare, spoke to her fans about the series before reading an excerpt from the book, that led to a few screams.
However these screams intensified when it was announced that we would be watching ‘City of Bones’ again, and throughout the fans had to follow a set of rules Clare set for them. This is where I became deaf aha, because they were all brilliant at following the rules.
After the film had ended we were lead out row by row, into the entrance of the Bloomsbury Theatre, where I was gifted with an exciting goodie bag that included the book a day before national release, a journal from the film and an exclusive postcard.
Thank You so much to Walker Books UK, Waterstones, Cassandra Clare and most importantly the fans for letting me spend the day with you. It is an experience I will never forget! Now leave me alone to read aha!
