Those lovely people over at Arrow Films have been busy this week! This is the first of two films that I am going to be talking to you about and I think many of you will want to see it when I say who the director is! Especially with the run up to Halloween! 

Wes Craven's, 'The People Under The Stairs' is going to be released in the UK for the first time ever on the 4th of November! 

Speaking out on the films Blu-Ray release, Arrow Video’s Ewan Cant stated, “As a huge Wes Craven fan, it was a dream come true to be able to work on the first ever Blu-ray release of The People Under the Stairs. Released in 1991, a few years before Wes Craven’s name would become synonymous with the Scream franchise, The People Under the Stairs is one film in the director’s resume which all but passed me by first time around: a fact which has made revisiting this movie all the more of a revelation. The People Under the Stairs is a real gem of early 90s horror which weaves gruesome visuals and pitch black comedy into a grim fairy tale for the ages – and with our new Blu-ray release, Craven fans get to see the film looking better than ever before! I was especially pleased that we were able to include on the disc an insightful interview with the great director himself, alongside engaging interviews with stars Sean Whalen (“Roach”) and A.J. Langer (“Alice”). Rounded off with some suitably grisly new cover art from the inimitable Stephen R. Bissette, this package represents the perfect Halloween treat!”

From the man who brought you 'The Last House on the Left', you can all expect that the house he is about to invite you, is definitely not going to be chosen as the next model show home! 

The house within this one is the house children avoid and adults don't speak of but for 'Fool', a kid who believes he is streetwise, the house is just a way at getting back at his landlord. 

However what begins as a routine break in, ends up being the cause of nightmares, as Fool finds himself trapped in a world of terrifying secrets that have been lurking under the walls and stairs of the house for years. 

Now as we all know when you buy an Arrow Films film, you definitely get your money back due to all the incredible special features that haven't been seen before. And this disc is not going to let you down...

This film has been over looked by many for Craven's more well-known horrors but from the sounds of it, it sounds like a horror film I would love! I have a big thing for all of the original horrors such as 'Carrie', 'The Nightmare On Elm Street', 'Scream', 'Halloween' and I might just have to have a look at this one for this year's Halloween film night aha!
